Madrasa student dies after being hit by truck in Jamalpur
A madrasa student named Hridoy (8) was tragically killed after being hit by a tractor that lost control in Madarganj, Jamalpur. Madarganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saifullah Saif confirmed the matter on Sunday (December 7) evening. Earlier, this tragic accident took place in the Velamari area of Karaichara Union in the afternoon. The deceased Hridoy is the son of Faridul Islam Hongkong of Velamari Purbapara village. He is a first-grade student of Velamari Purbapara Darul Uloom Islamia Hefz Madrasa and Orphanage.
Local residents said that Hridoy was playing with other children in the local primary school grounds around 5 pm. At that time, a tractor was passing by, suddenly lost control while giving way to an auto-rickshaw and entered the grounds and crushed Hridoy, who was engrossed in the game. His relatives took him to Jamalpur 250-bed General Hospital in a seriously injured condition, but the emergency department doctors declared him dead. “We are aware of the accident. If the family complains, necessary legal action will be taken,” said Saifullah Saif, officer-in-charge (OC) of Madarganj Model Police Station.
