Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Meets NCP
A meeting of National Citizens Party (NCP) leaders was held with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister A. Beris Ekinci on the overall situation in the country, which includes justice, reforms and election preparations. A six-member delegation led by NCP convener Nahid Islam participated at 7 pm on Monday (October 6).
This information was given in a press release sent by NCP Joint Chief Coordinator (Member of Media Cell) Khan Muhammad Mursalin.
The delegation also included Alauddin Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Monira Sharmin, Neelima Dola and Dr. Atiq Mujahid.
The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere. The government’s preparations for holding free and fair elections, reforms, especially constitutional reforms, were discussed in detail in the meeting.
The overall situation and progress of the country, including the formation of a joint economic commission between Bangladesh and Turkey, bilateral cooperation, youth exchange and the repatriation of Rohingyas, were discussed. NCP convener Nahid Islam thanked the Turkish minister for his visit to Bangladesh and expressed hope that bilateral relations between the two countries would move forward further.
