Accused in murder case who escaped from court arrested again

The District Detective Branch (DB) police have arrested Md. Rafiqul Islam (40), the accused in the double murder case who escaped from the Bogra court.
On Tuesday (September 23), at around 9 pm, the DB of Bogra district and the Dupchanchia police station arrested him from the Natore border area of ​​Adamdighi upazila.
On Monday (September 22), at around 4:30 pm, preparations were underway to send the accused to jail after counting the accused in the Bogra Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court. At that time, the main accused in the case, Rafiqul, escaped and escaped from the police’s eyes. Six members of the police have been withdrawn on charges of negligence in duty in the incident.
Police and case sources said that Rafiqul is the son of Nasir Akand of Bashikoda Chakpara village in Adamdighi upazila of Bogra. He is the accused in the murder case of Aftab Hossain (70) and his son’s wife Riva Akhter (30) of Laxmi Mandap Purbapara village of Jianagar Union in Dupchanchia Upazila of Bogra on the night of July 9 by tying their hands, feet, and face and strangling them. Police said that legal action is being taken against the arrested accused.
