Israeli airstrikes kill 3, including children, in Gaza camp

At least three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a tent for displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. One child was among the dead. Several others were injured in the incident, local Palestinian media reported on Wednesday (July 29).
According to reports, an Israeli helicopter struck a tent belonging to the al-Balawi family near the Faculty area west of Khan Younis. At least three people, including a teenage girl, were killed on the spot. The injured were taken to a local hospital.
Witnesses said the attack spread panic throughout the area. A large number of displaced Palestinians in the area live in makeshift tents. The Palestinian Authority claims that 1,209 Palestinians have been killed and 3,943 injured in Israeli airstrikes since October 10, 2025, despite the ceasefire in effect. Most of the victims were women and children.
Israel’s military operation in Gaza has continued since October 8, 2023. According to the Palestinian Authority, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 174,000 injured so far. In addition, it has been claimed that about 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure in the valley has been destroyed. However, this information on the number of casualties and damage could not be independently verified. Israel did not immediately comment on this.
