Chittagong’s ‘top terrorist’ David Emon arrested in Jessore
Chittagong District Police have arrested Chittagong’s top terrorist David Emon from Jhikargachha Upazila in Jessore. Four others have been arrested with him. They were arrested in a drive today, Wednesday (July 29).
David Emon has been accused of extortion, illegal use of weapons and various terrorist activities in Chittagong for a long time. According to relevant sources, the drive was conducted after identifying his location based on information received after the recent arrest of his associates.
Last Sunday night, the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two of David Emon’s associates, Md. Asif (25) and Saidul Islam alias Arif (24), in a drive in Wazedia area of Oxygen-Quaish Road in Chittagong city. After confirming David Emon’s location based on information received from the two associates and intelligence surveillance, a total of five people, including David Emon, were arrested in a drive in Jhikargachha, Jessore on Wednesday.
