Teenager goes missing while bathing in Banshai River in Mirzapur

A teenager named Ismail Hossain (14) has gone missing while bathing in Banshai River in Mirzapur, Tangail.
It is learnt that he went missing while bathing in Banshai River with his classmates in Hatubhanga area of ​​the upazila yesterday (July 25) at around 4 pm. Meanwhile, Mirzapur Fire Service divers launched a rescue operation for about two hours after receiving the information but ended the operation without being able to rescue him. Ismail Hossain is the son of Ibrahim Khalil of Ambagh village in Konabari area of ​​Gazipur.
Police and Fire Service sources said that 70-80 people came to Mirzapur on a boat trip from Bagia River Ghat in Konabari area of ​​Gazipur yesterday. Ismail Hossain went missing while bathing with his classmates in the Banshai River in Hatubhanga area of ​​Azgana Union in Mirzapur Upazila at around 4 pm. Upon receiving the information, the Mirzapur Fire Service’s diving team conducted a rescue operation for about two hours, but could not rescue him and ended the operation in the evening. Firefighter Ershad Hossain of Mirzapur Fire Station said that the Fire Service’s diving team continued the rescue operation until the evening. The rescue operation was ended when evening fell.
