Lawyer stabbed to death in Bagerhat
A lawyer named Nizam Uddin Shanto was stabbed to death in Bagerhat. On Friday (July 24) night, miscreants stabbed him to death in Bagerhat city area. The deceased lawyer, Nizam Uddin Shanto, is a resident of Paschimbhag village in Bagerhat Sadar upazila.
Police said that he was returning home on his motorcycle as usual after finishing his work in the chamber. When his motorcycle was stopped on the way and an attempt was made to attack him, he tried to take shelter in a nearby house. At that time, the miscreants stabbed him and fled.
He was rescued and taken to the district hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. Meanwhile, leaders of the District Bar Association gathered in front of the Bagerhat District Hospital morgue on Saturday (July 25) morning and protested. They demanded that those involved in this brutal murder be brought to justice quickly.
It is worth noting that this lawyer lost his father in an accident two months ago. Before that, he lost his mother and wife. He has a second wife and three daughters.
