One person dies of dengue in 24 hours, 329 hospitalized

One person has died of dengue across the country in the last 24 hours. During this period, 329 more people have been hospitalized. This information was given in a press release regarding dengue sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (July 14).
It said that among the dengue infected people in the last 24 hours, 63 people were in Barisal division, 51 people in Chittagong division, 62 people in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 38 people in Dhaka North City Corporation, 46 people in Dhaka South City Corporation, 40 people in Khulna division, 13 people in Mymensingh division, 9 people in Rajshahi division, 6 people in Rangpur division and 1 person in Sylhet division were hospitalized.
The Directorate General of Health Services said that a total of 8,979 people have been infected with dengue so far this year. Of these, 61.2 percent are men and 38.8 percent are women. The Department of Health also reported that a total of 28 people have died from dengue fever this year.
