Shahbaz Sharif’s phone call with Pezeshkian, which was discussed

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spoke to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in separate phone calls. During this time, they discussed the growing tension in the Middle East.
During his conversation with the Iranian President, Shahbaz Sharif called on all parties to exercise restraint. He said that the peaceful atmosphere that has emerged in recent months should not be destroyed in any way. At the same time, he stressed the importance of restoring peace and stability in the entire region.
He also said that it is important to implement the commitments made under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Islamabad. According to him, this agreement has laid a long-term foundation for mutual understanding, respect and shared prosperity.
Shahbaz Sharif reiterated that Pakistan is committed to establishing regional peace and will always support dialogue and diplomatic initiatives. In response, President Peishkian expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Eshaq Dar, Field Marshal Asim Munir and other top Pakistani leaders. He thanked them for attending the funeral of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The Iranian President reiterated Tehran’s commitment to regional peace and praised Pakistan’s constructive role in establishing peace and stability. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the progress of the decisions taken during President Peishkian’s visit to Islamabad last month. They also agreed to implement them expeditiously to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Shahbaz Sharif conveyed his greetings and respect to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. The two leaders agreed to continue regular contacts and discussions on issues of mutual interest and regional peace in the future.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif also spoke to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani over the phone. He expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Qatar in the wake of the recent attacks and called on all parties to exercise restraint. Shahbaz Sharif thanked the Qatari Emir for his continued support in peace efforts. He said that Pakistan attaches great importance to Qatar’s cooperation in various diplomatic initiatives, including the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. In response, the Qatari Emir praised the role of Shahbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir in regional peace and assured Qatar’s continued support in the future. The two leaders agreed on the importance of continuing diplomatic contacts and meaningful dialogue, as well as implementing the commitments made under the peace agreement.
