US President Donald Trump has said that he has already given the necessary instructions on how to respond if he is killed by Iran. He claimed that if such an incident occurs, an unprecedented military attack will be launched on Iran.
In an interview with the US media New York Post, Trump said, “If anything happens to me, they will be bombed on a scale they have never seen before.” Trump’s comments came at a time when various international media outlets, citing Israeli intelligence sources, claimed that Iran has made a new plan to kill him.
However, no official comment has been received from Iran on this matter yet. In the interview, Trump also said that he has been a target of Iran for a long time. In his words, “I have been on their list for a long time. We have to deal with this.”
He also mentioned the recent display of banners calling for Trump’s assassination at the funeral of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a US and Israeli attack. In this context, Trump said that Tehran has been trying to kill him for many years. At the end of the interview, Trump said, ‘I hope you feel my emptiness.’
Meanwhile, a CNN report said that Israeli intelligence has information that Iran has recently developed a possible new plan to kill Trump. This information was given by quoting two sources familiar with the matter.
The report also said that the United States has also been receiving various intelligence information about possible threats targeting Trump in recent weeks. However, the latest information received from Israel is considered new. According to analysts, the release of such intelligence information amid uncertainty over the Iran-Israel ceasefire could further increase the ongoing tensions between the two countries.
