Tanvir Rahman fulfills his teacher father’s dream, becomes the best in the foreign cadre

Tanvir Rahman, a talented child of Raydum Bagra village in Netrokona Sadar Upazila, has become the center of discussion by securing the first place in the foreign cadre in the final results of the 47th BCS. His extraordinary success has created an atmosphere of joy among his family, relatives and locals.
In his Facebook post last Sunday (July 5), Tanvir Rahman talked about his success, progress and future plans. He said that he grew up in an educated and agriculturally dependent family. His father is a head teacher. The family has always encouraged and supported him in pursuing education and human values.
Tanvir Rahman said that despite various limitations and adversities in life, he has always received the necessary support from his family. Therefore, he does not see this achievement of his as the result of personal efforts alone. He said, if there is even a little effort in my achievement, the rest is due to the infinite mercy of Allah. It would not have been possible to reach this stage without the prayers and support of his family, teachers and well-wishers.
During his educational career, he completed his SSC and HSC from Mirzapur Cadet College in Tangail. Later, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). After graduation, he started teaching at BRAC University. At the same time, he continued his preparation for the BCS exam.
Participating in the BCS exam for the first time and securing first place in the foreign cadre is considered a shining example of his perseverance, discipline and confidence.
His primary school teacher Mahmuda Akhter Sumi expressed happiness over Tanvir Rahman’s success. She said, Tanvir was a very talented, humble and attentive student since childhood. His interest in studies and learning mentality were extraordinary. As a teacher, I understood then that he would go far in the future. She also said, today he has secured first place in one of the most prestigious foreign cadres in the country, which is a matter of great pride for us. His achievement is the pride of not only his family but also the entire people of Netrokona. I believe he will play an important role in serving the country.
Addressing future BCS candidates, Tanvir Rahman said, “Continuous hard work, discipline and faith in God can take a person far. If one works with dedication and keeps one’s goal in mind, success will come one day.” Expressing gratitude for everyone’s love and good wishes, he also mentioned the importance of honest and responsible presentation. His success will undoubtedly be a source of inspiration for countless youth of the country including Netrokona.
