Health Minister: Licenses will be canceled if normal delivery rooms are not ensured in all clinics by Saturday
Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain said that if normal delivery rooms are not ensured in all clinics by next Saturday, action will be taken and licenses will be canceled. He said these things at a workshop of the Midwifery Society at a hotel in the capital on Monday (July 6) morning.
The Health Minister said that this decision has been taken to encourage normal delivery. Earlier, midwives used to assist during delivery, that was the beauty of the village. Today, that system is not in place in that village. The country is developing.
He also said that currently most caesareans are done. However, babies are not breastfed during caesarean. This is a nutritional deficiency. He said that earlier, measles was called the elder brother of measles. But now measles is deadly. Measles occurs due to lack of nutrition. He also said that it is not possible to build a balanced economy without improving the health of children and mothers.
At the same time, he said that 80,000 female health workers will be recruited from 1 lakh health workers across the country. Of these, 80,000 female health workers will be recruited, the largest number of whom will be midwives.
