Prime Minister at July Martyrs Memorial

The July National Conference is being held in the capital Dhaka to commemorate the martyrs of the July Uprising and honor their sacrifices. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman joined it. The program began at 10:15 am today (July 4) at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon. The program, which began with the national anthem, also included prayers for the martyrs.
Additional Press Secretary to the Head of Government Atiqur Rahman Rumon said that the conference has been organized in memory of the martyrs of the bloody July Revolution. The motto of this year’s conference has been set as ‘Bangladesh First’. The banner on the main stage of the program reads – ‘Glorious history, indomitable spirit, may this day of July 4 be an inspiration for all those whose sacrifices changed history.’
The family members of the martyrs and injured of the July Revolution participated in the memorial meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Whip of the National Assembly Nurul Islam Moni. The event was jointly organized by the ’24 July Martyrs’ Family Association’ and ‘Amra July Fighters Central Committee’.
At the beginning of the event, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of the martyrs. The event was also attended by cabinet members, members of parliament, leading politicians of the country, ambassadors and high commissioners of various countries, senior military and civilian officials and professional leaders.
