Allegations of broken nose in punch over football game

A youth was allegedly punched and his nose broken over a football game in Nalchiti upazila of Jhalakathi. The incident took place on Friday (July 3) afternoon in Sarai village of Kulkathi union.
The injured youth is Hasibul Islam (20). He is the son of businessman Kamal Hossain of Barikaran village. His family alleges that at one stage of the argument over football game, Shuvo Hossain, grandson of Akkel Ali Molla of the neighboring village, punched him. This seriously injured Hasibul Islam’s nose.
Later, he was taken to Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital and then to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. The doctor said that his nose was broken. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nalchiti police station Touhiduzzaman said that we have been informed about the matter. He has been asked to seek treatment first. Necessary action will be taken as per the complaint.
