Iran issues stern warning to Bahrain

Iran has issued a stern warning to Bahrain, saying any provocation will be met with greater force. Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, made the warning in a statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim News Agency. He said Bahrain is being warned to be aware of its limitations, not to gamble with its own fate and not to force Iran to make any harsh decisions.
In response to the recent US attacks, Iran attacked US naval bases in Bahrain on Friday (June 26) and Saturday (June 27). Tehran claims that the US is using military bases in the region to attack Iranian territory. However, countries in the Persian Gulf region have always rejected Iran’s claims. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s capital Manama strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks, saying that such actions violate Bahrain’s sovereignty and seriously undermine the chances of reducing tensions and maintaining stability in the region.
It is worth noting that Bahrain has a significant Shiite population. The Bahraini administration has arrested several citizens in recent months on charges of secret military ties and affiliations with Tehran, which has further exacerbated existing diplomatic tensions between the two countries.
