Opposition Leader Thanks Prime Minister for Discussions with China on Teesta Master Plan

Opposition Leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman thanked Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for discussing the Teesta Master Plan with China. Shafiqur Rahman said this while participating in the budget discussion in the 13th National Parliament today (June 29). He expressed hope that the plan will be implemented soon.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, this parliament is the parliament of the oppressed, so we hope that there will be no such behavior here that hurts the oppressed countrymen. He said, the pro-government party should have a mentality of respecting the opposition party. At the same time, the opposition party should also have a mentality of cooperating with the pro-government party in all relevant areas.
The opposition leader said, in the past, this parliament was used to flattering individuals. Today’s parliament should not be like that. We have to say no to the culture of the past. The opposition party will keep an eye on whether there is any harm to the people through this budget instead of public welfare. Stating that there is no guidance in the budget on how to bring back the money laundered from the country, he said, “If the laundered money can be brought back, there will be no budget deficit. Not only the money, but also the launderer must be brought back and brought to justice.”
