3 members of the same family drown in Parbatipur
Three members of the same family drowned in a pond in Parbatipur of Dinajpur upazila. The accident occurred in the Madhyapara Bazar area of the upazila on Thursday (June 25) afternoon. The deceased are Dulal Hossain’s daughter Dulali (13), son Ravi (9) and the eldest son’s wife Aklima (19).
It is learned that the three had gone to bathe in the pond in the afternoon. At one point, when they drowned, locals launched a rescue operation and recovered their bodies from the pond. Confirming the truth of the incident, Parbatipur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Wadud said that a sudden death (UD) case has been filed in this incident.
