India launches tourist visas for Bangladeshis
After almost two years, India has launched tourist visas for Bangladeshis again. Applications can be made from June 28. Visa issuance will start from July 1. Today, Thursday (June 25), Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi presented his identity card to the Bangladesh President at the Indian Visa Center (IVAC) in Jamuna Future Park in the capital and announced the launch of tourist visas.
At that time, the Indian High Commissioner said that along with tourist visas, medical visas will also be available for Bangladeshis. And these 5 visa centers – Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Sylhet and Dhaka – will remain open. Later, the visa centers will be further expanded. Medical visas, special facilities for children and the disabled will be introduced from the visa centers. Meanwhile, the Indian government has given the status of minister to the High Commissioner in Bangladesh. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave this information in a release.
