Top terrorist ‘Kaila’ Palash dies after being shot
Yasin Khan Palash alias Kaila Palash, known as the ‘top terrorist’, has died a week after being shot in the capital’s Rampura. Hatirjheel Police Station said that he died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital around 1 am on Friday (June 19).
Palash was injured in a gunshot wound by an assailant near his house opposite Bangladesh Television Bhaban on June 12. He was initially admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Evercare Hospital.
Palash’s wife has filed a case of attempt to murder in this incident. Several people have been charged in the case. Law enforcement agencies have already arrested two people named Imam Hossain and Ferdous. Police said that the investigation into the incident and subsequent legal proceedings are ongoing.
