Prime Minister arrives in Cox’s Bazar

Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has arrived in the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar. He will participate in various programs throughout the day on this one-day visit.
Today, Saturday (June 13), he arrived at Cox’s Bazar Airport by air from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital Dhaka. From there, he will first go to PMkhali Union by road to inspect the Patli Canal re-excavation activities.
After that, Tarique Rahman will participate in a road meeting. Later, he will visit Dulahazara Safari Park, plant saplings in Malumghat Reserve Forest and formally inaugurate the 250 million tree plantation program nationwide.
In addition, the Prime Minister will visit the grave of Shaheed Wasim during the July Movement, lay the foundation stone of the newly formed Pekua Municipality and unveil the foundation stone plaque of the newly formed Matamuhuri Upazila. In the afternoon, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will participate in a public meeting organized by Chakaria Upazila and Municipality BNP.
