Rail services on the Mymensingh-Jamalpur route were temporarily suspended after the power car of the Dhaka-bound Brahmaputra Express train from Mymensingh derailed. At that time, the relief train also derailed while participating in the rescue operation. The incident occurred in the Itakhola Bylane area of ​​the city while entering the Mymensingh Railway Station at around 9 am today, Wednesday (June 10).
According to railway sources, after the accident, the derailed power car and four coaches were left at the scene and the rest of the train was taken to the station. Later, when a relief train was sent to the scene to carry out the rescue operation, it also derailed. After repairing the railway line, the relief train joined the rescue operation to rescue the derailed power car.
