Uncle dies after nephew hits him with a stick in Jhenaidah

A person was killed in a clash between an uncle and nephew over a money dispute in Kamalhat village of Kola union in Jhenaidah upazila. The deceased is Niamat, son of late Iman Ali of Kamalhat village. The clash took place on Tuesday (June 9) afternoon.
Locals said that Niamat and his nephew had been in a dispute over money transactions for a long time. On the day of the incident, an argument started between the two over this issue. At one point, it turned into a clash and Niamat was seriously injured after being hit with a stick by his nephew. Later, locals rescued him and rushed him to the hospital, but he died on the way. After receiving the news of the incident, Kaliganj police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
In this regard, Kaliganj police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Moniruzzaman said that the body has been recovered and sent to the hospital for autopsy. The exact cause of death and details of the incident will be known after receiving the autopsy report. No case has been filed with the police station yet.
