4 killed, 30 injured in bus accident in Sarail, Brahmanbaria
Four people were killed and 30 injured when a bus fell into a ditch in Sarail, Brahmanbaria. The accident occurred at 12:30 noon today, Monday (June 8) in Shahbazpur Baishamura area of Sarail upazila on Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Police and witnesses said that a passenger bus of Diganta Paribahan lost control in Baishamura area on its way from Madhabpur to Brahmanbaria. Four passengers were killed on the spot. About 30 people were injured.
The seriously injured have been taken to various hospitals for treatment. The deceased are Munshi Arash Ali and Shishu Alif of Shahbazpur village in Sarail upazila, Mousumi Das of Paikpara in Sadar upazila, and Tanoy Kumar Majumdar, son of Setu Majumdar of Ibrahimpur village in Nabinagar upazila. Khatihata Highway Police Station OC Abu Taher Dewan confirmed the matter.
