May 25, 2026: What is the price of a 22-carat gold bar?
The increase in the price of gold in the global market has also affected the domestic market of the country. Before Eid, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of a gold bar by Tk 2,158. With this, the price of a 22-carat gold bar stands at Tk 2,38,121. BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Monday (May 25) morning. The new price will be effective from 10 am today. Earlier, BAJUS had reduced the price of a gold bar by Tk 2,158 last Saturday.
According to the new price, the price of a 22-carat gold bar (11.664 grams) in the domestic market of the country will be Tk 2,38,121. The price of a 21-carat gold bar has been fixed at Tk 2,27,331, 18-carat gold bar at Tk 1,94,847 and traditional gold bar at Tk 1,58,689.
BAJUS said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation. In this context, the price of gold has been adjusted 69 times in the domestic market so far this year. Of which, the price has been increased 37 times and reduced 32 times.
