US Awaits Iran’s Response: Rubio

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US expects to hear from Tehran on Saturday (May 9) on its proposal to end the war with Iran. “We will hear something today. We are waiting for their response,” Rubio told reporters during a visit to Rome on Friday (May 8).
He added, “What their response is remains to be seen. Hopefully, it will move us forward in a meaningful dialogue process.” Iranian state media reported on Thursday (May 8) that Tehran was reviewing messages sent by the US through Pakistani mediators. However, the country has not yet made a final decision or responded “formally”.
