Marijuana worth around Tk 1.5 million recovered from locked house in Pirojpur
Police have recovered marijuana worth around Tk 1.5 million from a locked house in Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur. However, no one has been arrested in the incident. On Friday (May 1) night, the police conducted a raid on a house in Arambagh area of Mathbaria Municipality and recovered a total of 30 kg of marijuana wrapped in duct tape.
Police sources said that Mathbaria Police Station conducted a raid on a house in Arambagh area based on secret information. During the raid, several packets of marijuana wrapped in duct tape were recovered from inside the locked house of Sajedul Rahman Majid, the tenant of the house. However, no one could be arrested at that time. In this regard, Mathbaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rabiul Islam said that based on secret information, about 30 kg of marijuana was recovered. The current market value of which is around Tk 1.5 million. No one could be arrested at that time.
