HSC exam to start from July 2, schedule published
This year’s HSC and equivalent exams will start from July 2. The exam will end on August 8. The schedule was published today (April 22) under the signature of SM Kamal Uddin Haider, convener of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Dhaka Education Board Examination Controller. The schedule has been instructed to complete the practical exam by August 15.
Special instructions:
The instructions in this regard state that the candidates will have to sit in their respective seats in the examination room 30 minutes before the start of the exam. First, the multiple-choice and then the creative/compositional (theoretical) exam will be held. The time limit for the 30-mark multiple-choice (MCQ) exam is 30 minutes and the time limit for the 70-mark creative (CQ) exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
In the case of practical subject exams, the time limit for the 25-mark multiple-choice (MCQ) exam is 25 minutes and the time limit for the 50-mark creative (CQ) exam is 2 hours and 35 minutes. The examination will continue uninterruptedly until the time mentioned in the question paper. There will be no break between the examination of both MCQ and CQ parts.
If the examination is not held from 10 am – distribution of unwritten answer sheets and multiple choice OMR sheets at 9:30 am, distribution of multiple choice question papers at 10 am, collection of multiple choice answer sheets (OMR sheets) and distribution of creative question papers at 10:30 am. (In the case of multiple choice examination of 25 marks, this time is 10:25 am.)
If the examination is not held from 2 pm – distribution of unwritten answer sheets and multiple choice OMR sheets at 1:30 pm, distribution of multiple choice question papers at 2 pm, collection of multiple choice answer sheets (OMR sheets) and distribution of creative question papers at 2:30 pm (In the case of multiple choice examination of 25 marks, this time is 2:25 pm.)
The examination must be taken as per the time mentioned in the question paper. Candidates will collect the admit card from the heads of their respective institutions at least seven days before the examination. Each candidate will have to fill in the circles by writing his examination roll number, registration number, subject code etc. in the OMR form of the answer sheet provided to him. Under no circumstances should the answer sheet be written in the margin or folded for any other purpose.
The candidate will have to pass the theoretical, multiple choice and practical parts (where applicable) separately. Each candidate will be able to appear in the examination only in the subjects mentioned in the registration card and admit card. Under no circumstances will he be able to appear in the examination of any other subject.
The candidates will be allowed to use a non-programmable wristwatch. Students will be allowed to use a general scientific calculator (non-programmable) approved by the Education Board in the examination. Programming calculators will not be allowed to be used. No one other than the responsible officer of the examination centre will be allowed to use mobile phones and no candidate will be allowed to bring mobile phones to the examination centre.
