The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said at least two Israeli soldiers have been killed in the past two days despite a ceasefire in Lebanon, bringing the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the ongoing conflict to at least 15.
According to the IDF website, Reserve Sergeant First Class Leader Porat (31) was killed on Saturday. A day earlier, Reserve Sergeant Major Barak Kalfon was killed. The IDF also said 12 other soldiers were wounded in two separate incidents, but did not provide details of the incidents.
The new casualties come amid a 10-day ceasefire that recently came into effect. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron claimed that a French member of the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon had been killed.
