11 children die in 24 hours with measles and measles symptoms
In the last 24 hours yesterday (from 8 am on Monday, April 6 to 8 am today, Tuesday), 11 children have died in the country. One of them died of confirmed measles. The rest had measles symptoms. During this period, 1,236 children are suspected of being infected with measles.
This information was given in a press release by the Directorate General of Health Services today (April 7). The release said that 22 children have died of confirmed measles since March 15. And 128 more children have died with measles symptoms.
At the same time, 1,398 people have been infected with measles. Another 6,883 children have measles symptoms. Meanwhile, the number of measles deaths and infections is highest in Dhaka division. Next is Rajshahi division.
