Sister-in-law dies after being pushed by her sisters

Momena Begum (68) died after getting into a fight with her sisters over a family dispute in Shibganj, Bogra. The incident took place on Sunday (April 5) morning in Jabaripur village of Mokamtala union of the upazila. Momena Begum is the wife of Babu Mia of that area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station Shahinuzzaman confirmed the matter. According to local sources, Shefali Begum’s family and the family of Nana Jolekha and her husband Belal Hossain of the same area had been having a long-standing dispute over various issues. They often quarreled over this.
The fight between the sisters and the sisters started around 9:30 this morning over this dispute. At that time, Nana Jolekha pushed her sister-in-law Momena Begum to the ground. Momena died on the spot. Tension arose between the two parties after this incident.
Shibganj Police Station OC Shahinuzzaman said, “Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and normalized the situation. The body of the deceased has been recovered and sent for autopsy. No one has been arrested in this incident yet.”
