Lebanese armed group claims responsibility for attack on Israeli warship
Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a missile attack on an Israeli warship, Al Jazeera reported on Sunday (April 5).
In a statement, Hezbollah said the attack targeted an Israeli military vessel about 68 nautical miles off the Lebanese coast. The armed group claimed the ship was “preparing to launch an attack” on Lebanese territory.
Hezbollah also said the attack was carried out using sea-based cruise missiles after several hours of surveillance and confirmed that it had hit its target directly.
