Nepal: Rebar prices rise amid geopolitical tensions
Nepals rebar prices increased by NPR 4,000/t ($27) w-o-w to NPR 91,000-93,000/t ($613-627) for cash deals, while bank guarantee transactions stood at NPR 93,000-95,000/t ($627-639/t). Rising geopolitical tensions supported the upward price movement; however, demand remained subdued as buyers refrained from bulk bookings. Meanwhile, IF-EAF wire rod prices held steady around $570/t CNF Raxaul.
