Iranian Ambassador to Dhaka Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi said that Tehran is not satisfied with the statement made by the Bangladesh government on the Iran issue. Iran hopes that Bangladesh will condemn the aggressive forces. He said this at a press conference organized at the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka today, Wednesday (April 1).
The Iranian Embassy organized a press conference on the war situation in the Middle East. At the press conference, the Iranian Ambassador said that we are shocked by the statement of the Bangladesh government on the Iran issue. This statement should have been clearer. We expected that Bangladesh, as a Muslim country, would condemn the aggressive forces of our brother Iran, but it did not happen. This is painful for us.
Asked whether Iran would send a letter to the Bangladesh government expressing dissatisfaction in the wake of Bangladesh’s statement, Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi said that no letter will be sent from Iran in this regard. However, I will raise the issue when I meet the Prime Minister.
He said that as a member state of the UN and OIC, Bangladesh could have condemned Iran’s aggressive power. Russia and China have condemned it despite not being Muslim countries.
