Nepal: Rebar prices rise despite weak retail demand and cost pressure
Nepals rebar prices rose by NPR 2,000/t ($13) w-o-w to NPR 87,00089,000/t ($573-586) for cash deals, while prices for bank guarantee sales reached NPR 89,00091,000/t ($586-599). The global oil crisis raised raw material and manufacturing costs, increasing prices, while demand remains weak. Meanwhile, IFEAF wire rod prices increased by around $5/t to nearly $570/t CNF Raxaul.
