Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has again reduced the price of gold in the domestic market. A 22-carat gold bhari has been reduced by Tk 2,683 to Tk 2,62,265 per bhari. The organization gave this information in a notification on Saturday (March 14). Today, Monday, gold will also be sold at the price effective from 10 am on that day.
According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhari (11.664 grams) in the domestic market is Tk 2,62,265. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold per bhari has been fixed at Tk 2,50,367, the price of 18-carat gold per bhari has been fixed at Tk 2,14,617 and the price of traditional gold per bhari has been fixed at Tk 1,74,785.
The organization said that the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation due to the decrease in the price of acid gold (pure gold) in the local market. Earlier, BAJUS had reduced the price of gold last Friday (March 13). At that time, the company had reduced the price of a 22-carat gold bar by Rs 2,158 to Rs 2,64,948.
