Demand to exclude the United States from the World Cup
US President Donald Trump has given a secret warning to Iran regarding the 2026 World Cup. The West Asian country has also responded sarcastically. The Iranian national football team has said that no one can kick them out of the World Cup. Iranian footballers have demanded that the United States be kicked out of the World Cup.
The United States and Israel have been carrying out military attacks on Iran for almost two weeks. Iran is also responding in the same way. In the meantime, Trump on Thursday gave a secret warning to Iranian footballers.
He said, ‘The Iranian national team is welcome to the World Cup. But I don’t think they should risk their lives to come here in this situation.’ The United States is one of the host countries of the 2026 World Cup. The other two countries are Canada and Mexico.
Iran responded to Trump’s comments. The football team’s Facebook account wrote, ‘The World Cup is a historic and international competition. Its governing body is FIFA. Not any individual or country.’
