One person was killed in a collision of two trucks in Baraigram, Natore. Two people were injured in the incident. The accident occurred in the Garmati area of ​​the Natore-Pabna highway on Friday (March 13) morning. The deceased helper Jamal Sardar is the son of Jahangir Sardar of Daibongahati village in Bagerhat.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banpara Highway Police Station Monirul Islam said that the collision occurred when two trucks carrying potatoes and betel nuts bound for Pabna and Khulna were overtaking. As a result, the Khulna-bound truck overturned, killing helper Jamal Sardar on the spot. Two others, including the driver, were injured in the incident.
He also said that upon receiving the information, members of the Highway Police and Fire Service rescued the injured and sent them to Sadar Hospital. The bodies have been recovered and kept at the Highway Police Station. In addition, legal action is being taken by seizing the two trucks.
