India: Melting scrap prices remain unchanged d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 12 Mar’26. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,500/t ($374/t) ex-yard. Market sources noted that despite a decline in semi-finished steel prices in the previous session, moderate scrap buying interest from the IF mills in Bhavnagar helped maintain price stability. Consequently, suppliers kept their offers unchanged today.
