BNP leader stabbed for protesting eve-teasing

A woman has been accused of stabbing BNP leader Shahadat Khan for protesting eve-teasing in Savar. Two others, including the woman, were injured at that time. The incident took place at around 9:30 am today, Wednesday (March 11) in the Pagla More Mohalla of Savar Bank Town area.
The injured Shahadat Khan is the son of the late Haji Masud Khan of the Bank Town Pagla More Mohalla of Savar Municipality. He is the vice-president of Savar Sadar Union BNP. The others injured are the victim and his father.
The victim said, I work in a bottle factory. I was returning home after work. At that time, when I reached the Pagla More area of ​​Bank Town, some youths eve-teased me. Later, I told Shahadat Bhai about the incident. At that time, Shahadat Bhai forbade them from eve-teasing. Then we all set off towards home. On the way back, some people including Ayub Khan and his son Amin attacked us. At that time, Shahadat started beating his brother and hit him on the head with a knife. My father and I were injured in this incident. Shahadat Khan said, some people were harassing a girl. When I protested against this incident, they beat me and stabbed me on the head. On the other hand, accused Ayub Khan said, I heard that some people were beating my son. So I came to the spot. Savar Model Police Station OC Arman Ali said, legal action will be taken based on the complaint of the victim.
