Saudi Arabia has announced that it will take all necessary measures to counter any Iranian attack and protect its security and citizens. The country’s state news agency SPA reported this information.
The Saudi cabinet stressed in a statement that Riyadh is fully prepared to repel any Iranian attack and provide all possible assistance to its allies. This tough stance by Saudi Arabia is considered very significant after the tensions that began in the Middle East last Saturday and the attack on the US embassy in Riyadh.
Meanwhile, the US-based human rights organization Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA) reported that 1,097 civilians have been reported killed in Iran since February 28. The organization said that 181 of the dead were children under the age of 10.
HRANA also reported that the number of injured civilians has reached 5,402. 100 of them are children. The report said that there have been at least 104 attacks in Iran in the past 24 hours. According to the organization, these attacks have hit military bases, medical facilities and residential areas. Hundreds more reports of deaths are being reviewed.
