In Gujarat’s Alang market, ship-breaking melting scrap prices climbed up by INR 400/t d-o-d to INR 33,800/t ($368/t) ex-yard, according to BigMint’s assessment. Supported by an INR 1,200-1,500/t rise in semi-finished and finished steel prices during yesterday’s trading session, the regional market saw increased inquiries for scrap, prompting local suppliers to lift their offers today.
