US-Israeli airstrikes kill 96 in Iran in 24 hours
At least 96 people have been killed in joint US-Israeli airstrikes in Iran in the past 24 hours. Of these, 85 were civilians and 11 were military personnel. Al Jazeera reported this information on Tuesday (March 3) citing the human rights organization Human Rights Activities News Agency (HRANA).
The Washington DC-based organization said that according to the latest count, the total number of civilian deaths in Iran since the US-Israeli war began on February 28 has reached at least 742. The organization also noted that 176 children were among the dead. Earlier, the Iranian Red Crescent Society put the death toll at 555. However, Al Jazeera was unable to independently verify the figure.
HRANA also reported that Monday’s attack damaged multiple military bases, two residential areas, and various installations and infrastructure, including the Shaheed Bahona Pier in Bandar Abbas.
