Heartbreaking incident in Sitakunda: Injured child rescued from Ecopark dies

A child rescued from Sitakunda Ecopark in Chittagong with a stab wound to the throat has died while undergoing treatment. He died while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Chittagong Medical College early this Tuesday (March 3). His uncle Md. Ramiz confirmed the matter.
Earlier, this morning, workers engaged in road repair work rescued the child from Sitakunda Ecopark with his throat slit. After the rescue, the child was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital with his parents. In this incident, the child’s mother filed a kidnapping and murder case against unknown accused that night.
Police said that the child’s house is in the Maasjidda (Masterpara) area of ​​Kumira Union. The distance from his house to the scene is about 14 kilometers. Investigation is underway to find out how such a small child reached so deep in the Ecopark alone, whether someone had picked him up or whether this brutal attack was premeditated.
