Fars News Agency reported that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed in a joint US-Israeli ‘Operation Epic Fury’ operation. This news was broadcast on Iranian state media this Sunday (March 1) morning local time.
Iran International reported that 40 days of state mourning have been declared in Iran starting today after the death of the Supreme Leader. Earlier, in a post on the social media Truth Social, Trump wrote that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, one of the worst men in history, is ‘dead’.
President Trump also wrote in the post, ‘Khameni, one of the worst men in history, is dead. Justice has been served today for the countless Americans and people around the world who were killed or ‘disfigured’ by Khamenei and his bloodthirsty forces.’
He also said in the post that Iran’s Supreme Leader could not escape the attention of US intelligence agencies and sophisticated tracking systems. The joint US-Israeli operation left Khamenei and other top leaders with him with no chance of escape. The Iranian people now have a chance to take back their country.
In the post, Trump also claimed that many members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), army and police forces no longer want to fight. Instead, they are praying to America for impunity. “I said last night, if they want it now, they will get impunity, but if they delay, they will have certain death on their foreheads,” he said.
British news agencies Reuters, CNN and BBC News, citing US President Donald Trump, are simultaneously claiming that he was killed in a joint US-Israeli strike. Meanwhile, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s daughter, son-in-law and grandson were killed in a joint US-Israeli strike. Details about where or how Khamenei’s family members died have not been released.
