India: GPIL gets EC to expand Ari Dongri iron ore mine capacity to 6 mnt/year
Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd has received environmental clearance for expanding its Ari Dongri iron ore mine capacity in Chhattisgarh to 6 mnt/year from 2.35 mnt/year, the company said on 31 Jan’26. The approval, granted by SEIAA Chhattisgarh, also permits an increase in the mining lease area to 213.01 hectares from 138.96 hectares, supporting long-term captive iron ore availability.
