The US Department of Justice has released millions of new files related to sex offender Epstein. Last Friday (January 30), nearly three million pages, 180,000 photos and 2,000 videos related to Epstein were released. Donald Trump’s name appears hundreds of times in the released documents. BBC Bangla News.
The release comes six weeks after the deadline for the release of all documents signed by President Donald Trump expired. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch said, “Today’s release completes a long and detailed process of finding documents and ensuring transparency for the American people.”
The documents contain detailed information about Jeffrey Epstein’s time in prison, including his mental health reports and information about his death while in prison. They also include documents from the investigation of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was convicted of helping Epstein traffic underage girls. The leaked documents also include emails exchanged between Epstein and various influential figures.

Trump’s name appears hundreds of times

The newly released documents mention Donald Trump hundreds of times. Trump had a friendship with Epstein. However, he says that it ended years ago and that he had no knowledge of his sex crimes. The leaked documents also include a list compiled by the FBI last year. It also includes allegations made against Trump by the National Threat Operations Center call center.
However, many of these allegations were based on unverified information and were not supported by any evidence. The list includes many allegations of sexual abuse against Trump, Epstein and other influential figures.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing in his relationship with Epstein, and none of Epstein’s victims have accused him of any wrongdoing. In response to questions about the latest allegations, the White House and the Justice Department pointed to a portion of a statement released with the new documents.
The Justice Department said in a statement that “some of the documents contain false and exaggerated allegations against President Trump. They were submitted to the FBI just before the 2020 election.” It added, “To be clear, these allegations are baseless and false. If they had any credibility, they would have been used as a weapon against President Trump long ago.”
