Volunteer Party leader killed in clash between two groups in Rupganj

A leader of the Volunteer Party was killed in a clash between two groups in Rupganj, Narayanganj. Three others were injured. The incident took place in the Trishkahania area of ​​Kanchan Municipality on Friday night (January 30). The deceased, Azahar, is the vice-president of the Ward No. 9 Volunteer Party of Kanchan Municipality.
Witnesses said that during the party yard meeting, there was an argument between the leaders and workers of the Youth Party and the workers of the Volunteer Party over the distribution of names. As a result, both groups got involved in a clash and Azahar was seriously injured. Later, when he was taken to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead. Rupganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sabzel Hossain said that legal action will be taken based on family or party complaints.
