Body recovered from train compartment in Gaibandha
The railway police have recovered the body of a man named Mozahar Ali (60) from a compartment of a college train plying on the Bonarpara-Santahar route in Gaibandha. The body was recovered from the last compartment after the train coming from Santahar reached Bonarpara railway station at around 9:30 pm on Sunday (January 11). The deceased Mozahar Ali is a resident of Matarpara village in Ghuridah union of Saghata upazila. He is the son of the deceased Abdul Sardar of that village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bonarpara Railway Police Station Md. Kamal Uddin confirmed the matter. He said that the college train coming from Santahar reached Bonarpara railway station at around 9:30 pm. At that time, railway sweepers were cleaning the train compartment. At one point, they saw Mozahar Ali’s lifeless body in the last compartment.
The OC also said that when the matter was immediately reported to the police, they went to the spot and recovered the body. Initially, it is believed that it was a natural death. After confirming his identity, the family members have been informed. The body will be handed over to the relatives after the legal process is completed.
