Japan: Tokyo Steel reduces scrap purchase prices at Kyushu, lifts rates at Utsunomiya
Tokyo Steel has revised its scrap purchase prices, effective 10 Jan’26 — the second revision of the month. Prices were reduced by JPY 500 ($3/t) at Kyushu and increased by the same magnitude at Utsunomiya.Prices were kept unchanged at all other plants, except Takamatsu, where revisions remain suspended.
- Tokyo Bay: JPY 44,500/t ($282/t).
- Kyushu, Tahara, Okayama, Nagoya, Utsunomiya: JPY 44,000/t ($279/t).
- Kansai: JPY 43,500/t ($275/t).
