India: Medium-carbon silico manganese prices edge up as market inquiries improve
Prices of medium-carbon silico manganese (Mn 53%, Si 20%, C max 0.5%) in India were assessed at INR 82,900/t ($921/t) on 1 Jan’26, up by INR 700/t ($8/t) w-o-w. Prices increased as domestic steel demand improved, restocking activity picked up, and sellers resisted discounts amid controlled production. Offers were reported in the INR 82,500-83,250/t ($917-925/t) range, with around 350 t deals concluded at around INR 83,000/t ($922/t).
